Ingredients
500g raw almonds
½ cup Bossieveld Inspiration Gin
¼ cup light brown sugar
¼ tsp salt
½ tsp nutmeg, ground
½ tsp ginger, ground
¼ tsp cloves, ground
½ cup freshly squeezed orange juice
Method
Blend gin, orange juice, sugar, and spices in a saucepan over low heat to dissolve. Bring to boil and reduce for 10–15 minutes until thickening occurs.
Introduce almonds and stir to ensure complete coating.
Spread onto greased baking pan and roast at 180°C, occasionally stirring to prevent burning.
Cool completely before incorporating into salads.
Tip: You can prepare a large batch of these nuts and serve them later with your gin cocktail, provided that you store them in an airtight container.
